Georg Berthold Johannes Brossok (November 7, 1880 in Breslau, † April 22, 1933 in Oppeln) was a German surgeon and doctor of medicine with his own practice, front hospital doctor, chief medical expert in Upper Silesia and director of the surgical hospital in Opole.

Georg Berthold Johannes Brossok was born as a Prussian citizen on November 7, 1880 in Breslau, in Upper Silesia. His father, Paul Josef Johann Brossok, was a successful businessman, and his wife, Anna Ottillia Franziska Brossok, born Hübscher, ran the family-owned hotel "Deutsches Haus" in Breslau. At that time, this was on Albrechtstrasse, diagonally opposite the Oberpraesidium, the former palace of Prince Hatzfeld.
Life
Georg attended the St. Mathiasgymnasium in Breslau. There he passed the Matura on February 6, 1902 and received the certificate of maturity. This was followed by 10 semesters studying medicine at the University of Breslau. On May 17, 1907 he passed the medical examination, today's state examination. During his studies, Georg Brossok became a member of the Rheno-Palatia fraternity, which still includes him in the list of "old men". He received his doctorate in medicine and surgery in 1908. The topic of his dissertation was: Contribution to the theory of hebosteotomy. In 1911, at the age of just 31, he was appointed chief physician of the newly built surgical hospital in Opole. His reputation preceded him due to his extraordinary skills in the field of surgery, so that he soon became known far beyond the borders of Opole. So it wasn't long before he was appointed director of the entire facility. On August 25, 1917 he married Editha Josepha Maria Kunze. They moved into a corner house together Opole, where Georg Brossok set up his practice. In addition to his other duties, he also served as the chief medical assessor of Upper Silesia.

Military Service
Between the years 1914 and 1917 Georg Brossok served as a surgeon in a front hospital. For his war service he received the Iron Cross 1st Class and the Silesian Eagle Order 1st and 2nd Class.

Eberhard Johannes Julius Brossok (born August 25, 1892 in Langenbielau, province of Silesia; died December 17, 1982 in Münster) was a German judge, officer, civil servant and District Administrator of Wittgenstein and Director of the State Administrative Court in Münster.

Life
After attending the König-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Stettin (1898-1904) and the grammar school in Stolp in Pomerania (1904-1910), he enrolled in law and political science at the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg in the summer semester of 1910. There he was briefly a member of the Corps Rhenania Heidelberg . He studied at the University of Berlin (WS 1910/11; WS 1911/12), Munich (SS 1911) and Kiel (SS 1912–SS 1913). On October 24, 1913 he passed the first state examination in Kiel.
From 1919 to 1933 for the German Democratic Party (DDP) , from 1930 for the successor organization German State Party (DStP) .
After his second state examination (government assessor) on October 9, 1920 in Berlin, he initially worked for the district government in Arnsberg. It was used in Prussia. Ministry of Science, Art and Public Education (1923/24) and Prussia. Construction and finance directorate in Berlin (1924), in the district government in Schneidemühl (1924) and in Preuss. Treasury (1924).
On June 6, 1929, he took over the provisional management of the Wittgenstein district. On October 8, 1929 he was appointed District Administrator in Wittgenstein. On March 30, 1933, he was temporarily retired. From the end of July 1933 to May 31, 1936 he was a district administrator z. D. employed at the Oberversicherungsamt Dortmund. From June 1, 1936 until fleeing the Red Army on January 26, 1945, he was a district administrator z. D. Head of department in the government of Königsberg.
He was a member of the Reichsbund of higher officials (1920-1931), Verein Preuss. District administrators (1929-1933), National Socialist Association of Lawyers (1934-1945), Reich Air Raid Protection Association (1937/38-1945), Reich Association of German Civil Servants (1937-1945) and the Volksbund for German nationalities abroad. From autumn 1933 he belonged to the Confessing Church .
From January 27, 1945 to October 19, 1945 he spent as a refugee in Heiligenstedten/Holstein. On October 20, 1945 he became a consultant in the personnel department of the OP of the province of Westphalia. From January 21, 1947 he was a consultant for schools and church affairs in the Ministry of Education. From June 1, 1948 to November 30, 1948 he was Deputy Senior District Director in Wittgenstein. In 1949 he became briefly Administrative court director at the OVG Münster. On May 2, 1949, he was appointed State Administrative Court Councilor and in 1955 State Administrative Court Director at the State Administrative Court in Münster . He retired on August 31, 1960.

Military Service
From November 1, 1913 to September 19, 1918 Eberhard Brossok did military service in the 5th Hussar Regiment; on February 6, 1915 he was appointed lieutenant. He was later deployed in the Reserve Hussar Regiment 1 and the Infantry Regiment 54. From August 2, 1914 to February 5, 1916 he was deployed in Russia. He was wounded multiple times and lost his left thigh. For his services he was awarded the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class, the Wound Badge in black and white and the Front Fighter Cross of Honor.
